Alex Strauss

A native Torontonian, Alex's first foray into acting was playing the lead role in Daniel MacIvor's This is a Play for Theater Glendon while majoring in English at York University. After graduating, he worked a variety of jobs ranging from security to marketing to editing until finally deciding to take the leap and fearlessly pursue his love for acting. After deciding to fully commit himself to the craft he began taking acting classes at Cindy Tanas Actors Studio and has been involved in several theater productions including Shakespeare's The Tempest, A Streetcar Named Desire, and The Loyalists (CanStage), as well as roles in short films and television including Air Aces, Treasures Decoded, Web of Lies, and Disasters at Sea. He has a background in improvisation from Second City and loves traveling, boxing, and soccer. Recently he took a stunt training course with the ReelStunts Action Team led by Tommy Chang out of his love for action movies and in order to expand his knowledge of the craft.
